Last evening Mark Weber, a founding partner of The Darton Group, met a friend (who works for Oracle here in Charlotte) for dinner at Cafe Nirvana in the Ballantyne area http://cafenirvana.net/1.html.  While feasting on a meal of Chennai Chicken and “Nine Jewels of India”, the conversation turned to technology, continued education, and one of our favorite topics, Apple.

The Apple topic led to a discussion on iTunes University.

Since the team at The Darton Group believes that education is a life-long pursuit, we are exceptionally interested in the growing iTunes University (iTunes U) that Apple maintains as part of its popular iTunes store.

Did you know that iTunes U offers lectures, speeches and other academic content from the USA’s most respected colleges and universities?  In fact, iTunes U offers 50,000+ educational audio and video files from top universities, museums and public media organizations around the world.  The files can be easily downloaded for free for play on your iPod, iPhone, Mac or PC.

Yale Business & Management offers free downloads for such topics as “New Research in Behavioral Finance” and “Piloting a Company Through Turbulent Times”.  And yes, content is available from regional favorite institutions including Duke and Clemson.

Visit iTunes on the web at http://www.apple.com/itunes/ to learn more.
