Rochelle Rivas is President of DARTON GROUP Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in highly experienced finance, accounting and project management professionals for projects, contract engagements and interim roles. Rochelle is co-founder and co-owner of the award-winning firm.
Rochelle has an extensive background in managing strategic staffing and cost containment programs for Fortune 100 companies. Prior to her current role, she managed a $45 million business as Vice President of Operations for Prism Retail Services, a privately held services company.
Before joining Prism Retail Services, Rochelle served in a variety of leadership roles with top-tier retailers including Kroger, Office Depot and Staples. Rochelle’s diverse experience includes managing a $100 million P&L (District Manager, Office Depot), co-leading Staples’ strategic market entry into Chicago (District Manager), and holding divisional headquarters roles in human resources, marketing, and merchandising (Kroger).
Rochelle is an active business and community leader in the Charlotte region. She was named to the Board of Directors of Classroom Central in June 2010 and previously served as Board Chair of the Charlotte-based not-for-profit. Rochelle founded the “Career in Transition” group at St. Francis Church in south Charlotte and recently completed a 3-year term as Communications Chair. Lastly, Rochelle serves as a volunteer softball coach for MARA (Matthews Athletic & Recreation Association).
In September 2010, Business Leader Charlotte magazine named Rochelle to its annual “Movers & Shakers” list of rising leaders in the Charlotte, NC region. In December 2011, the publication honored Rochelle as a “Woman Extraordinaire”. In March 2012, The Mecklenburg Times named Rochelle one of Charlotte’s “50 Most Influential Women”. In 2013, the Charlotte Business Journal named Rochelle one of Charlotte’s “Top 25 Women in Business”.
Rochelle studied business management at Metro State College and Columbia College in Colorado. She is certified as a “Professional in Human Resources” (PHR) by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Club of Charlotte’s Management Development Program.
