Clint Watson, MBA is the Director, Consultant Engagement with DARTON GROUP Consulting, an award-winning boutique consulting firm specializing in highly experienced finance, accounting and project management professionals for projects, contract engagements and interim roles. Clint leads the firm’s talent acquisition efforts and serves as the primary relationship liaison with the firm’s consulting professionals and the client companies they support. Additionally, Clint leads the firm’s Vendor Management System (VMS) program with a large financial services client and he also supports the President of the company with strategic, firm-wide initiatives.

A native of Washington, PA, Clint began his career in the Charlotte region in the corporate tax accounting group at Lowe’s Companies, Inc. From there, he joined Grant Thornton LLP as a Senior State and Local Tax Consultant. His talents in the tax accounting space subsequently led Clint back to the private sector where he served Duke Energy Corporation as Lead Tax Analyst. From there, Clint helped to lead the senior project consulting division for a global finance and accounting professional services firm.

Clint holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Washington & Jefferson College and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Montreat College. Clint is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School’s management development program. Additionally, Clint is a Certified Staffing Professional (CSP) through The American Staffing Association. Clint is a member of Leadership Charlotte Class 39 and he previously served as an Adjunct Accounting Professor of Business and Accounting at Rasmussen College and Pfeiffer University. Clint is hyper-focused on serving the community- sitting since 2015 as a member of the Board of Directors of Classroom Central, a Charlotte-based not-for-profit as well as serving as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Carolinas, among other non-profits that he supports and volunteers with.
