Penny Camp is the Contracts Analyst at DARTON GROUP Consulting, a boutique consulting firm specializing in highly experienced finance, accounting and project management professionals for projects, contract engagements and interim roles.

Penny is an experienced professional with a passion for contract management and legal work with 25 years of experience as a Paralegal. Penny is an Advanced Certified Paralegal (“ACP”) with a concentration on Contracts Administration/Contracts Management and Alternate Dispute Resolution “ADR”.

Penny worked for Kimberly Stovall, Esq. at Paul L. Smith and Associates and then at Stovall and Associates for 18 years. From there, she joined EXCO Resources, Inc., an Oil and Gas company as an Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the CIO and to manage contracts for the IT department. Her talents in contract management subsequently led to a promotion to Supply Chain Analyst/Contracts Administrator where she helped lead the implementation and oversight of the DocVue central repository for all Supply Chain contracts, continued to manage IT contracts and coordinated, scheduled and participated in monthly and quarterly contract reviews and strategic alliance meetings with preferred vendors.

Penny relocated to Charlotte in 2013, where she joined DARTON GROUP consulting in the contract role of Contracts Analyst. From there, she began her current full time role with DARTON. Penny helps lead the firm’s Vendor Management System (VMS) program with a large financial services client and manages the firms’ relationship with 3rd party vendors that provide consulting services via the VMS.

Penny’s passion for legal work and serving her community also led Penny to serve as a Guardian ad Litem volunteer for the Administrative Office of the Courts of Iredell County to advocate for neglected and abused children.

In July 2014, Penny participated in organizing the non-profit organization, Child Advocates of Iredell and Alexander Counties “CAIAC” to provide program support to the Guardian ad Litem program for recruiting, training and retention of GAL’s and provide directly to the children they serve. Penny was named to the Board of Directors as Treasurer of CAIAC where she currently serves. Since its inception, CAIAC’s existence has enhanced assistance to children who have been removed from their homes by raising money and connecting with community organizations to provide necessities such as beds, diapers, food, clothing and provide financial assistance for music lessons, musical instruments, summer camps, etc.
